Log out of myDouglas and close all browser windows when you are done your session. This prevents unauthorized use of your account.

Self-Service for students, faculty and staff and Banner for administrators will be unavailable today, December 7, from 9pm to 10pm


Self-Service for students, faculty and staff and also Banner for administrators will be unavailable today, December 7, from 9pm to 10pm, to apply an emergency patch. This patch will fix a defect that is causing some Banner screens to terminate a Banner session.

Blackboard Community and Blackboard courses won't be affected by this outage.

Email Address Change in Blackboard


Starting the Fall semester (September 2016), the Blackboard email tool will no longer be tied to your myDouglas email account. Instead, students will be linked to their new Microsoft Office 365 email address within Blackboard. Please read the details.


As of January 1st 2016, we've made some changes to myDouglas. We've moved registration and course information to another area called myAccount. For college employees, your employee information has been moved to Employee Self Service.


STUDENTS

Looking for your student email?
MyDouglas is still home to your Portal email address (eg. name@portal.douglas.bc.ca). Some email may still be going to this address. We suggest that you forward emails from this account on to your O365 account.

When using email within Blackboard, emails are sent out from Blackboard to the O365 email automatically.

Looking for registration, transcripts, tax forms and other student information?
This is now moved to myAccount and uses the same login information as myDouglas. You can find the myAccount link from the Douglas College website > Login (located at the top of the page) > myAccount or click here to access.

Looking for your course content and other academic resources?
This is available at Blackboard Community. You can find the Blackboard Community at: http://learn.douglas.bc.ca. You can also find it on the Douglas College website > Login (located at the top of the page) > Blackboard-Community or click here to access. Important note: Your login password for Blackboard Community is the first 6 characters as your myDouglas and myAccount PIN.

New to Blackboard Community?
Log into Blackboard Community and click on the Student Resources tab.


FACULTY AND STAFF

Looking for employee and personal information such as pay stubs, vacation valance, tax information?
This is moved to Employee Self Service. You can find Employee Self-Service from the Douglas College website > Employee Resources (under Quicklinks at the bottom of the page) > Employee Self-Service (on the right hand side under Useful Resources) or click here to access.

DC Connect now houses a lot of information for employees. We recommend bookmarking it as one of your home page tabs on your Internet browser.

New to Blackboard Community?
Log into Blackboard Community and click on the Faculty Resource tab.

Note: When using the Email tool within Blackboard, emails are sent out from Blackboard to the myDouglas email portal and are for one-way communications only. For back-and-forth messaging use the Course Messages tool within Blackboard.
